After baiting your deadbait, pull the Bait Stop over the hook point that protrudes from the skin of your bait. The hook point, including the barb, must emerge from the deadbait's skin. Now, push the Bait Stop onto the exposed hook point, past the barb. Your hook is then secured and can no longer easily detach from the deadbait.
Of course, you can also use the Bait Stop to secure worms or other baits on your catfish hook.
